Garey Aitken

Garey Aitken, MBA, CFA, is the Head of Canadian Equities and co-portfolio manager for numerous Canadian equity strategies at Clearbridge Investments. He previously served as the CIO, and prior to that, the director of equity research for Franklin Bissett Investment Management, a predecessor firm to ClearBridge Investments.

Prior to joining the firm, Garey was an officer for a senior Canadian energy firm. Prior to that, he was employed with a Canadian chartered bank in a corporate lending role. Garey graduated from the University of Alberta with his Bachelor of Commerce. He earned his MBA from the University of British Columbia, and is a member of the CFA Institute.
